Welcome
to THIRD AVE CHURCH

Who Are We?

Father's Day Beach Walk Church Website Banner
Third Avenue Church is a family.  We care for one another, love one another,
pray for one another and live life with one another.
Our church is not a building.  We are not four walls and a roof.
We will go wherever Christ calls us and do whatever he calls us to do.
Our church is a movement.  We feel that God is wanting to transform us and
use us to transform those we encounter.
Our church is not a country club.  We aren’t here to have our needs met,
rather we are here to serve as Christ has served us.
Our church is a place of worship.  We are laser focused on Christ and His Glory.  We live for nothing else.
Our church is a house of prayer.  We believe that Prayer is our first response, not our last resort.
Our church is a city on a hill.  We know that God has us where he has us to advance the Gospel through us.

DEPENDING ON CHRIST,
WE WILL REACH OUR WORLD WITH THE GOSPEL,
TO SEE LIVES COMPLETELY TRANSFORMED.

YEAR OF THE BIBLE

2019 is Year of The Bible at Third Ave Church.  For an entire year we will be reading through the Bible together , joining together for daily devotionals, memorizing scripture together, and walking through the Bible together each week in our sermon series “The Greatest Story.”  Our Growth Electives will also follow this theme this year.  In short, everything we are doing this year as a church is in alignment with reading through the Bible together as a faith family.  Would you like to join with us?

Where Can I Serve?

Make a Difference Ministry Web Banner

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes.

Mission Outreach

Third Ave. church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. We support local missions and world missions.  We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

Music & Drama

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministries. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God. This ministry is under the direction of Mrs. Rhonda Johnson

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers from our Prayer Warriors team pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.

Teaching and Mentoring
We are always looking for people who want to share their love of our Lord with others. If you are interested in teaching or assisting with a class or activity please let us know.  We have a place for you.

Ushers

The usher team at our church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free.
